It all started in my mum’s back garden with a Sony CyberShot in hand. I was helping to remove damp wood when I stumbled upon frogs. Naturally, I snapped a few photos, fascinated by the lighting, colours and textures. At the time, photography wasn’t about artistry or technique. It was simply about preserving memories—point and click.

Those first photos marked the beginning of an enthusiast in the world of digital media creation.

When I was gifted my first camera, a Nikon CoolPix, everything changed. I had just started secondary school, and what began as a casual hobby quickly became a way of learning to shoot with intention, observe the present moment, and bring joy to others by sharing the beauty I see between connections.

I found ways of exploring photographing people when I landed a short term photography role in a Small Music Venue in Vauxhall, London. It was exposure therapy for my lack of social skills at the time. I Was 15 then, and I am 25 now.

Photographing people is about celebrating them and their talents. I look for those small, magical interactions—the way someone lights up when they’re doing what they love, the unspoken connection between spokesmen and their audience, (even the quiet pride in someone’s eyes after a good word spoke about them)!
